Jordan Whittenburg - CEO
Jordan Whittenburg is a distinguished professional with a multifaceted career spanning the realms of basketball coaching, real estate investing, and client representation. As the founder of Green Light Enterprises and General Partner/CEO of DV Sports Group, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a commitment to empowering others through reframing perspectives and helping others see themselves through a new lens. With a tactical message of encouragement to overcome adversity and take ownership in creating a life of positive impact that draws upon his own experiences, his expertise extends to asset acquisition through creative finance, mindset coaching in basketball and business, athlete representation, and real estate education.
Whittenburg's career journey is marked by significant roles in both real estate and coaching. Since 2020, he has served as a realtor with Green Light Real Estate, where he has been recognized as a top-producing agent at two brokerages – Fathom Realty and Homes of Idaho. Additionally, he was the managing director of Redeemed Financial Recovery, a fund-recovery service for families who have experienced foreclosure. Previously, he served as an agent with Beacon Real Estate, representing some of the top custom home builders in Idaho's Treasure Valley. In 2023, he ventured into business acquisition, purchasing the Clear Creek Lodge, Boise' County's #1 restaurant, with multiple adjoining lots for development.
Before transitioning into real estate, Whittenburg had an impactful career in coaching and player development. He served as the associate head men's basketball coach at Las Positas College from 2015 to 2020 alongside James Giacomazzi, consistently ranking among the top community college programs in California, including a #3 state rank in 2017, while helping over 20 players transfer to 4 year universities with scholarships. In the offseason, he served as a head coach with Coach Joey Fuca’s Lakeshow AAU program while running summer camps as a Nike Basketball camp director.
Earlier coaching roles included the role of assistant boys basketball coach at San Francisco University High School, earning a Northern California championship and state runner-up finish in 2015 with Randy Bessolo, as well as varsity head basketball coach at Cornerstone Christian High School for both boys and girls teams. As a private basketball trainer, Whittenburg was recognized on CoachUp.com as a top personal coach in the East Bay Area before expanding to online coaching in 2020, launching a video training course specializing in shooting and mentality through GreenLightBasketball.com – "The Fearless Shooter" training program.
In 2024, he served as head varsity boys coach at Ambrose High School after helping lead them to win the 2023 Idaho State championship at the Ford Idaho Center alongside Ken Sugarman. As head coach, he led the team to a conference championship and advanced to the state tournament semifinals, with his point guard and shooting guard, Lincoln Mathis and Tristen Trevino, being recognized as All-State selections. He aims to be a positive influence on young men and serve as an example of how to lead and prepare to win in whatever is being pursued, empowering student-athletes for life beyond basketball.
Whittenburg's educational background includes a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science with a Sports Psychology concentration from California University of Pennsylvania, graduating with honors in 2017. Prior to his graduate work, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Journalism from Northwest Christian University (re-branded Bushnell University), graduating in 2009. He was recognized as a charter member in Lambda Pi Eta, the national honor society for Communication majors.
As an athlete, Whittenburg was a two-time First Team All-Bay Counties League guard at Berean Christian High School in Walnut Creek, California under Don Menez and Joe Nagy. In the offseason, Whittenburg was recruited by Slam N Jam’s Carl Foster to play for the Oakland Soldiers AAU program and played with and against the top talent in Northern California. Choosing to develop at the junior college level at Los Medanos College, he led the Bay Valley Conference in three-point percentage and helped the Mustangs to a Sweet 16 appearance before accepting a scholarship to Northwest Christian University in Eugene, Oregon. Whittenburg competed in basketball and golf, earning an Academic All-Conference selection and scoring over 1000 points in his college career as a two-year starter on the men's basketball team. His senior year was highlighted by scoring 20 points against the University of Oregon and being named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week after hitting consecutive game-winning shots in the William Jessup University Invitational, earning Tournament MVP honors. Appearing in the school record book for multiple categories in free throw shooting and three point shooting, Whittenburg went on the compete for multiple minor league professional teams on the West Coast, including the Oakland Showtime and Tualatin Rainmakers in Oregon.
He attributes his success in all things to God’s grace through his faith in the Lord, which has guided him through challenges and fueled his determination and persistence to cultivate his gifts and use his strengths as a force for good in the world.
Whittenburg has been involved in industry-related organizations such as the Idaho Realtors Association, California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association, Awaken Pathfinders Apprenticeship, SubTo mentorship in creative finance with industry leader Pace Morby, in addition to Morby and Jamil Damji’s highest level business mastermind, Owner’s Club.
Whittenburg's real estate and business accolades include being ranked third among the top ten real estate agents in the state of Idaho by Apple News in 2023 and recognized by Boise Regional Realtors Association’s “Circle of Excellence” as a top producer in 2024. He was featured for his story of an unconventional wholesale real estate deal on an episode of "Get Creative with Pace Morby," a business podcast that has been ranked among the top 25 nationwide. He is currently a host of the "Get Creative" podcast and interviews community members weekly doing unique real estate deals across the country. In 2024, he was inducted into the Marquis Who’s Who Biographical Registry, and subsequently recognized as a top business owner by Marquis Who’s Who for dedication, achievements, and leadership in real estate and finance.
Outside of his professional life, Whittenburg is dedicated to his family and community. He considers his most valuable work and greatest responsibility as a husband and father of three children that he is intent on leading with love and by example.
He aspires to reach a wider audience with the upcoming release of his books, “Get Your Mind Right: Your 30 Day Playbook to Becoming a Mentally Dominant Player," and “Sacred Fingerprints: Discover Who You Are and Why Everything You Do Matters”, hoping to inspire and mentor people through speaking and coaching more teams and organizations. His message, focusing on hope for change, expanding our capacity, and creating an infusion of confidence propelled by operating out of our authentic identity, is informed by his own personal struggles and what he's overcome in life, with an optimistic outlook toward a compelling future by taking the required steps to discover what's truly possible.
